CHEYENNE, Wyo. - The Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department released its weekly inspection reports for food establishments operating between June 26 and July 2. Inspectors visited a range of locations including restaurants, bars, convenience stores, delis, grocery stores, and bed and breakfasts across the county.
During this period, several facilities received passing scores with minor violations, such as improper food storage temperatures or inadequate handwashing signage. A few establishments were cited for more serious issues, including evidence of pest activity and failure to maintain proper sanitizer levels in dishwashing machines. In each case, inspectors provided on-site education and required immediate corrections.
One grocery store faced a follow-up inspection after failing to address a recurring problem with cross-contamination risks in its meat preparation area. The store was allowed to remain open but must submit a written plan of correction within 10 business days. No establishments were ordered to close during this inspection cycle.
The health department reminds the public that full inspection reports are available for review at the county office. Officials encourage residents to report concerns about food safety directly to the department. The next round of routine inspections is scheduled to begin July 3.
