Williamson Health board dedicates room to Anderson

The Williamson Health Board of Trustees used its final August meeting to honor a longtime public servant. During the session on Aug. 27, board members dedicated their board room to retiring Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson. The tribute came as Anderson attended his last meeting with the group.

Board members voted unanimously to grant the honor, recognizing Anderson for his years of service to the county and his support of the health system. The room will now carry his name as a permanent reminder of his contributions.

Anderson has been a familiar figure in Williamson County government for decades. His leadership spanned a period of significant growth in the region, and he worked closely with health officials on projects aimed at expanding care for residents. Colleagues described him as a steady presence who valued cooperation between county government and local health providers.

The dedication drew praise from board members and staff who worked alongside Anderson over the years. They noted that his guidance helped shape decisions that improved services for patients and families across the community.

Anderson is set to retire after completing his current term. The board's gesture ensures that his legacy remains part of the institution he helped support. Officials said the newly named room will serve as a gathering place for future leaders as they continue the work he championed.
